Church Of The Highlands In Alabama Upgrades Video Production Capabilities During Pandemic

by | Case Studies, Production

Church of the Highlands, a multi-site organization headquartered in Birmingham, AL, recently engaged Adorama Business Solutions to expand its video production capabilities — specifically to better remotely respond to the needs of its congregants through livestreaming and on-demand content during a time where they were unable to come together in person.

The church worked with Adorama to identify and purchase the new equipment needed to build out its existing AV setup and capabilities. Selected equipment includes: Feelworld 4K156-9HSD 15.6-inch IPS 4K UHD broadcast LED monitor with built-in loudspeaker, DanaDolly 39-inch Aluminum portable pip kit, DanaDolly Hi Hat universal kit, SmallHD FOCUS 7 daylight-viewable 7-inch LED touchscreen monitor with Bolt 500 receiver, Teradek ACE 500 HDMI wireless video transmitter, Atomos Shogun 7 7-inch HDR pro/cinema monitor-recorder-switcher, Atomos accessory kit for Shogun/Ninja Inferno, and Flame, Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3-section tripod with horizontal column, Aputure MC RGBWW mini LED light and BlueShape GRANITE TWO high-capacity 90Wh Gold Mount battery.

The new equipment has afforded the production team much more flexibility in its operations. As the number of video and livestreaming projects continues to grow, so too does the team’s experience and creativity in finding new ways to spread its message to congregants. The church’s production of regular content has offered much-needed connection and sense of community.

“The teams at Church of the Highlands have worked with Adorama Business Solutions for many years due to its reliable service, wide-ranging professional product inventory and quick delivery times,” says Caleb Dick, Creative Worship Coordinator at Church of the Highlands. “This time around was no different, and the ABS team kept us informed about and equipped with the gear we needed for our particular budget and situation. We are so thankful for the trust and working relationship we’ve built with them. They’ve made our ability to respond to the pandemic and the new demand for online content so much easier.”
