ADJ has introduced a new range of Encore Profile Pro LED-powered ellipsoidal fixtures joined by a selections of lens options for gathering and performance spaces seeking to benefit from the power saving and heat reduction of LED lighting.
Two new models are available: the Encore Profile Pro WW with a white LED engine and the Encore Profile Pro Color offering full-color mixing from a 6-in-1 LED source.
The Encore Profile Pro WW is equipped with a 260-watt warm white LED light source with a color temperature of 3200K. It is designed to generate an even field of light, with no hot spot, and is stated to have a CRI in excess of 97. When used with a 26-degree lens, it measures a total light output of 10,000 lumens, while the LED engine has an average lifespan of 50,000 hours.
The Encore Profile Pro Color utilizes a 250-watt 6-in-1 RGBWAL LED engine, also stated to have a 50,000-hour average operational life. Through independent dimming control of the red, green, blue, white, amber and lime LED elements, this fixture can be used to generate a gamut of colors ranging from vibrant primaries to subtle hues. It can also be used to generate color-corrected white light, with a macro function providing selection of a range of different Kelvin color temperatures. It has a stated light output of 6,000 lumens (measured with a 26-degree lens) and offers a CRI in excess of 90.
The new fixtures can be used with ADJ’s range of interchangeable lens tubes and can also be used with any existing ellipsoidal lenses and accessories that a theatre, production company or rental house may already own. Both models support B size metal or HT transparency GOBOs and feature a four-blade manual framing shutter system as well as manual focus adjustment. They are stated to offer smooth 0-100 percent digital dimming and variable speed strobing. The LED refresh rate can also be adjusted for TV/film work and a number of different dimming curves can be selected to suit varied applications.
Both fixtures offer a choice of DMX channel modes; 1, 3 or 4 for the Encore Profile Pro WW and 6, 9 or 12 for the Encore Profile Pro Color. DMX addressing and mode selection is handled via an intuitive LED menu screen on the rear of each unit, while 5-pin input and output sockets are provided for the DMX signal. Locking power input and output connectors are also located on the rear panel, which can be used to link together the power supply for up to 3 fixtures at 120 volts (8 at 240 volts). Finally, a USB port has also been included to allow easily installation of future firmware upgrades.
Measuring 27.1 x 111.3 x 17.7 inches (length, including lens / width / height), the Encore Profile Pro WW and Encore Profile Pro Color have similar dimensions to a conventional ellipsoidal fixture. Both fixtures weigh 20 pounds and are equipped a sturdy hanging bracket and convenient rear handle.
ADJ’s complementary EP range of ellipsoidal lenses jave precision designed and engineered optics to deliver sharpness and an even field. Fixed lens tubes with beam angles of 14, 19, 26, 36 and 50 degrees are available.
