I always get a lot of questions regarding tech training for worship tech crews. I can’t stress enough that training and hands-on experience will always increase your tech crew’s knowledge and comfort level. Starting 2025 off with training sessions for your worship tech crew is a smart way to ensure a smooth, impactful, and engaging worship experience throughout the year. Here’s why it’s essential:

Your crew needs to reinforce their skills and knowledge, Training helps your crew stay up-to-date on the latest lighting, sound, and multimedia tools used in your worship setting. You can boost their confidence with regular training ensures team members feel confident in operating equipment and troubleshooting issues. Training sessions encourage communication and teamwork among tech crew members, creating a cohesive environment. Learn who excels in different areas (e.g., lighting design, sound mixing, or media control), making it easier to assign roles effectively.

Focus on achieving a balanced mix for live vocals, instruments, and playback. Practice identifying and resolving issues like hums, feedback, or signal loss.

Guide the team on how to program and operate lighting consoles effectively. Teach how to create mood and atmosphere using colors, gobos, and movement.
