Peavey Introduces LN1263 Portable Column Array Loudspeaker

by | Audio, Gear, News, Production

Peavey has introduced the new LN1263, a portable column array loudspeaker joined by a companion subwoofer that also comes equipped with a six-channel mixer in a package that’s driven by up to 1,200 watts of onboard amplification accompanied by DSP.

The column loudspeaker has a dozen 2.75-inch custom drivers, while the subwoofer is equipped with a custom 12-inch driver. These components are stated to deliver 127 dB maximum SPL and frequency response of 35 Hz to 20 kHZ.

The loudspeaker enclosure has an aluminum housing and a quick attachment design while the subwoofer is built from multi-ply birch. Loudspeakers come with a stand and a twist-lock cable connection that allows them to be positioned remotely for applications where stereo configuration or additional coverage is desired.

The onboard six-channel mixer offers four combo inputs, each with the option of selecting a guitar input, and all channels provide a compressor as well as mute and line indicators. An onboard LCD screen facilitates control, with remote control also available via Bluetooth using a custom iOS application for control — the “Simple” mode in the app simplifies features like compression for novice users while the “Professional” mode allows added control for more advanced adjustments.

Seven EQ presets and eight onboard effects are provided, along with an independent sub-level control. Two additional media channels have stereo 1/4-inch inputs and streaming audio Bluetooth in, which can handle a separate device other than the one controlling the array. There’s also a security lock and the ability to save and store scene presets.

Retail : $1499.99 USD
