Wisconsin Church Adds Compact d&b audiotechnik System To New Location

by | Audio, Case Studies

Based in Madison, WI, Door Creek Church is a multi-site organizaton that recently added an additional location on the city’s north side — a multi-use gymnasium space hosting worship services on the weekends as well as community events centered around after-school programs for youth during other times of the week — with integrator Sven Pro (Milwaukee) implementing a sound reinforcement approach utilizing d&b audiotechnik loudspeakers and related components.

The system is designed to be efficient, utilizing a single 20-amp circuit to run the entire loudspeaker system via a single d&b 10D power amplifier mounted in a rolling rack that can be rollwed out of the space when not in use. The amplifier drives four d&b 8S compact loudspeakers and a single 18S-SUB subwoofer — all flown above the main platform — that provide high-impact sound for both pre-recorded music and live performances. Other audio components include an Allen & Heath digital console, digital snake and personal mixing system.

The result of the project is that Sven Pro delivered a system capable of meeting all of Door Creek Church’s requirements and enables the church to use the space to minister to the community in multiple ways.

Choir Sound 101: Getting the Most Out of Your Worship Choir
